ProposalDescription:

Proposed new first floor bedroom at 123 trematon drive, durban.kzn

Expanded_Motivation:

With the high cost of buying new houses, the owners decided that its more cost effective to add another story. The existing house is typical of the area and the original house is almost intact. The new proposal will have little impact on the ground floor elevations where details of the historical and architectural are to be found. the northen elevation will change the most but is directly oppostie the neighbour, with little being viewed from the street. With the combonation of the new and the old, the proposed first floor will have Aluminium roof sheeting roofs and high exposed roof trusses to allow for the most penetration of light, allowing the contrast of the two to highlite the original house. The external timber screen will help with the cooling of the elevations and afford more privacy to the planned bathroom on the road side of the property.
