Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Expanded_Motivation: 

Our brief was to create a home in keeping with our client’s lifestyle and to upgrade and refurbish their home. The alterations are as follows:- The existing front boundary wall to be raised and a new guest parking to be added to existing driveway. Guest WC added to entrance of house. Walls demolished in western wing of house; new TV lounge and two bedrooms with bathroom added. Walls demolished to allow open plan lounge and dining. Walls demolished on northern wing and walls added to allow for two new en-suite bedrooms and a study. New kitchen and scullery added. New bar area added to veranda. New paving added to side of garage to fall to existing storm water drain. New store and wine cellar provided on lower ground level. Dry walling demolished to allow for open plan teen pad on ground floor. New roof built for entire residence at higher wall plate level relative to the existing level.
