Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

WORK ON THE PROPERTY HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS ON THE PROPERTY WITHOUT ANY PLANS BEING PREPARED BY THE CURRENT OR PREVIOUS OWNERS. THE CURRENT OWNER IS SELLING AND THEREFORE REQUIRED TO MAKE GOOD ALL WORK CARRIED OUT DURING THEIR OWNERSHIP AND PREVIOUS OWNERS.THE SITE HAS BEEN USED FOR REIDENTIAL PURPOSES AND STILL IS. WE ARE UNAWARE OF ANY HERITAGE VALUE ASSOCIATED TO THIS SITE AND THEREFORE ARE APPLYING FOR A PERMIT BASED ON THE AGE OF THE PROPERTY. THE ORIGINAL HOUSE PLAN WAS APPROVED IN JULY1953, THE OWNER WAS NOT AWARE THAT THE WORK CARRIED OUT REQUIRED AMAFA AS IT WAS MINOR WORKS AT THE REAR OF THE PROPERTY. APPROVAL. WE DO NOT BELIEVE THE WORK CARRIED OUT HAS BEEN DONE TO ANY HERITAGE PROTECTED BUILDING. THE PROPERTY HAS BEEN INDICATED TO REQUIRE AMAMFA APPROVAL BY HE LOCAL MUNICIAPLITY. WE THEREFORE SUBMIT THE ATTACHED APPLICATION FOR YOUR APPROVAL.
