Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

roof replacement and refurbishment to the entire building. the building is not in use and is unsafe to occupy, roof sheeting is to be removed and replaced. all windows are to be removed and replaced with new aluminum windows. Roof tiles are to be removed and replaced with the same. New floor coverings. A new glass wind lobby is to be added to the public entrance. 2 new guard houses are to be added. the carports to be cleaned. building to comply with SANS 10400 PART S and PART T. ex face brick to be cleaned. all rainwater good to be removed and replaced with new.

Please review the application in respect of the Structural Engineers report. The report states that wood borer is evident in numerous parts of the building. The building was assessed visually by other Professional consultants, and we have decided to remove and replace all windows and doors, to prevent future wood borer damage. Please see attached the engineer's report.
