Case Type:

ProposalDescription:

The developer/owner, Philip Booyens is proposing the alteration of the existing structures at 100 10th Street, Linden, Gauteng, Portion 2 of Erf 173. Drawing number 13-6551. The exiting structures will not be demolished, however the buildings will be altered and some new additions added. Gauteng Province.

Expanded_Motivation:

The structures at 100 10th street, Linden was constructed in 1949. The designs are architecturally generic to the region. There are many examples in the direct area of this design and it is also not and example of a well known architect's work. The building has very limited heritage significance and the proposed developments and alterations will be in sympathy with the original design. It is not anticipated that the development will have any negative impacts on the values of the built environment of the area. The facade of the buildings will be upgraded and the inside layout will be altered. Some additional external structures will also be added.
