Expanded_Motivation:

The application is for an extension of time for application number 19/348L. which was submitted in Nov 2019. Re: Extension of time to application number 19/348L We have received an approval to a project we have in Queens Warehouse, on 237 Mahatma Gandhi Road, Point, Durban. We have been granted permission to proceed with the works as per approval application number 19/348L. (attached for your ease of reference) The approval for the works included the following project details…….an internal renovation to the ground floor basement of the building. We are renovating the following areas: • Reception area. • Converting existing internal areas. • Renovations to internal ablutions. • Minor internal additions and alterations (painting and replacing of carpets). • Construction of internal ablution facilities for staff. • Associated civil works. We wish to confirm that we have only completed the external painting to the building, all internal renovations listed above still needs to be completed, and we intend to commence soon. This permit requires an extension of time, as the proposed work was delayed due to organisational changes and the COVID pandemic. The permit expires on the 8th of Dec 2022. For now, it is planned that this work will proceed in the new year once capital funding has been approved. Please advise if an extension may be granted.
