Case Type:

ProposalDescription:

CodeMakers NPC has been funded by the NFVF to make an animation adaptation of our SuperScientists comic set in the Cradle of Humankind. Artists at The Hidden Hand Animation studio would like to visit a cave to take photos for references for their animation.

Expanded_Motivation:

CodeMakers NPC is a STEM education non profit that runs the SuperScientists project in which living scientists are drawn as superheroes to engage and educate young people. We were funded by GENUS Palaeo to make a comic featuring five scientists that is set in the Cradle of Humankind. Based on the strength of the comic we were funded by the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) to make a animation. The contracted animation studio - The Hidden Hand Studios - has asked to visit a cave at the cradle but due to flooding at Sterkfontein it is difficult. Dr Dominic Stratford has kindly offered to show the animators an accessible cave. We would like to visit the cave for 3hrs on April 14th 2023
