ProposalDescription:

The Roads Agency Limpopo (RAL) propose the upgrading, from gravel to bituminous surface, of a 32km section of road between Morebeng (Soekmekaar) and Tshabelane. Included in the upgrade is the proposed upgrading of three existing bridges and replacement of an existing, collapsed bridge with a large new box culvert. Road foundation layer material is to be obtained from existing local borrow pits. It is our understanding that these borrow pits are not commercial sources and that RAL will require mining permits for the extraction of material.
