ProposalDescription:

Request for an re-issue of demolition permit (Permit number : 2018-05-22d), for Erf 1193, 10 Lyngarth Road, Kloof, Durban, eThekwini, KwaZulu-Natal in the new owner's name.

Expanded_Motivation:

Scope of Proposed Work: Demolition of all existing buildings and structures on site for the construction of a new Day Hospital on Erf 1193, 10 Lyngarth Road, Kloof, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. Motivation for Extension to Demolition Permit 2018-05-22d: The existing dwelling was originally designed in 1948 with alterations over the years, most recently in 2008. The dwelling does not have any significant heritage or architectural value that should hinder the approval of this extension to the demolition permit application which was approved on the 7th of February 2019 and will expire on the 6th of February 2022. During this latter period, the new owner has been in the process of planning, engaging in viability costings and with investment opportunities for the project. Due to unforeseen matters arising, such as the COVID19 pandemic, the project has been negatively affected and progress has been stalled. Hence, the owner would like to ensure full compliance with AMAFA and apply for an extension to the current demolition permit allowing us to proceed with the demolition and construction of a new Day Hospital.
