ProposalDescription:

The proposal is to redevelop the end of Quay 7, the site of an old warehouse and the existing reclaimed Helicopter Port. The proposal is to erect new structures and formalize the Heliport.

Expanded_Motivation:

The heritage concern is maritime heritage for which a comment is required from the maritime section of SAHRA . the development of underground parking will require an excavation of 4 m depth from the top of the Quay. The fill under the existing ware house is quite old and likely to have been placed in the late 19th century. There is a possibility of it being sensitive in terms of material from a secondary context. The fill under the Heliport is very recent and is comprised of material excavated from the Roggebaai canal a few years ago. Please see documentation included.
