Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

The proposed Esikhumbeni Stand-Alone water supply scheme is situated between the towns of Ulundi and Nongoma, falling within Ward 14 of the Nongoma Local Municipality and Wards 5, 6 & 7 of the Ulundi Local Municipality on the properties Reserve No. 12 of 7638 and Reserve No. 20 of 7638 in terms of Deed of Grant G 7638/1909 in Northern KwaZulu Natal.

Expanded_Motivation: 

The proposed Esikhumbeni SAWSS has an overall footprint of approximately 14 500 hectares and incorporates 28 villages accommodating approximately 20 000 people. About 50km of main pipeline is to be laid with a further 250km of secondary pipelines in villages. The majority of the main pipelines will be sited in existing road reserves. 14 reservoirs will be used, of which seven already exist.
