Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

The proposed development entails the construction of a telecommunication mast on Portion 2 of Erf 62 Lombardy East Township, on approximately 32 square metres. The telecommunication mast will be a tree mast of 25m in height.

Expanded_Motivation: 

The Proposed telecommunication mast is a tree mast of 25m in height and a development area of 32square meters. The base station and telecommunication mast is in a property being used a Residential house . The exact site where development will take place is on coordinates -26.113772 28.119100. No demolitions or alteration to the property will be made. No building will be affected in the construction of the telecommunication mast. The mast is being constructed because of the need for network coverage in the Malvern area. Cellular telephones have become an integral part of the South African way of life and fulfill an important role in most people’s daily life. Cellular telephones have become of utmost importance, because communication is made much easier and more readily available due to cellular telephones. To provide effective cellular telephone communications, cellular telephone masts must be provided, and they have to be placed at specific localities.
