Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Excavation to fix a block sewerage pipe at House no 12

The sewerage line is blocked at House 12 Light House Road.It appears that a stone could have fallen down the drain, swift action or solution to get it unblocked is required as it poses a serious health risk to the occupants who are currently using this space.The works entails the existing sewer line to be exposed by excavation in order to attend to the blockage. Health & Safety site demarcation, Excavation, Replace damaged pipes with the new ones, Back fill with clean sand and compact.

Expanded_Motivation: 

Existing building on that sewer line of the blockage will not be used for approximately 1 week while the work is taking place. Excavation of approximately a 1 m deep on normal natural ground at 15m distance is required.This job is labour intensive and the house is currently occupied ,hence the need for urgent intervetion.
