Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Glen Cullen NPC plans to construct a residential nature estate with associated services and infrastructure on Portion 86 of the Farm Keerom 374-IS (previously the Remaining Extent of Portion 24, the Remaining Portion of Portion 31, and Portion 34 of the Farm Keerom 374-IS), to be known as Middelburg X39, within the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality, Middelburg, Mpumalanga Province.

Expanded_Motivation: 

The proposed Glen Cullen Estate will be located to the east of Middelburg Extension 10 and 42. The site for the proposed estate is located between Meyerstreet (R555) (northern boundary) and an unnamed gravel road (southern boundary). A non-perennial watercourse originating on site, traverses the site from north to south before a confluence with the Klein Olifants River flowing from east to west past the south of the site. The site is surrounded by cultivated land.
