Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Special Notice

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

ProposalDescription: 

Central Plaza Investments 28 (Pty) Ltd on behalf of the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality (CoTMM) plan to install a sewer 3.6km in length in the east of Pretoria.

Expanded_Motivation: 

The project entails the installation of a sewer line to be known as the Eastern Link Sewer, approximately 3.6km in length. The sewer line will be installed for the larger area and it will enable existing and future development in the surrounding area to connect to a proper waste water treatment plant, developed to the standards and requirements of the Local authority and the DHSWS. The following properties will be affected by the proposed Eastern link Sewer: Portions 880, 881, 882, 888, 907, 938, 1109 and 1046 of the Farm Rietfontein 375 JR; The Remainder of Portions 1, 62 and 1077 of the Farm Rietfontein 375 JR; Erf 903 The Hills Extension 6 and Erf 246 The Hills Extension 3; Remainder of The Hills Extension 3 Township. Take note that the proposed sewer line will be installed across properties that are subject to existing historical environmental authorisations for a residential development and its associated services and infrastructure. Interpretation letters to confirm the necessity of the application processes referred to in this notice will also be forwarded to competent authorities for consideration. If the competent authorities rule that no EIA process/Section 21 WUL are required for the eastern link sewer, the applications will be withdrawn.
