Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Special Notice

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

This property has an existing Timber 2nd dwelling built in 2006. It's state has deteriorated to a state of not being habitable. The Owners are wanting to build a new 2nd dwelling in the same location as per attached plan 2023-215/01 & 2. The original dwelling has not been affected or changed in any way. Property is situated in KZN

Expanded_Motivation: 

The existing Timber 2nd Dwelling built in 2006 as per Approved Plan 50 04 05 provided herewith, has fallen into ruin due to neglect and vandalism. The Owner's have decided to demolish the structure and in its place build a new 2nd dwelling as per proposed plans No 2023-215/01/ & 02. The Original Dwelling which was built more than 60 years ago around 1955, has not changed since. This dwelling, has also been vandalized by windows and doors being stolen and the interior ransacked. The Owners are now refurbishing this dwelling to make it habitable. There will be no changes to design on the first dwelling.
