Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

THE UPGRADE OF THE P608-D604, Kokstad, KZN

Expanded_Motivation: 

The current access points of the P608 and D604to the N2 will be permanently closed and access will be limited to the proposed N2 intersection. The new section of the P608 from the N2 will be a gravel road of approximately 480m before joining the current road. The re-alignment of the D604 from the N2 will a distance of approximately 2.10km before joining the current route. At a distance of 1.5km form the N2 intersection, the D604 will branch in a north-easterly direction to allow for access to some areas of the farm on which the road is proposed. The proposed D604 will include infrastructure such as culverts and other infrastructure to cater for watercourse crossings and stormwater management as well as road signs.
