Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Expanded_Motivation: 

The proposed Middelburg Eastern Bypass will consist of two sections; Section 1 of the bypass will connect the P154-4 road (Old Belfast road) with the R555 to Stofberg and Section 2 will connect the R555 to Stofberg with the N11 to Groblersdal. Section 1 will originate at a proposed T-junction just south of the old Belfast road. It crosses the railway line and river once respectively and joins the R555. Section two of the proposed alignment starts off on the R555 from a point approximately 608m to the north of Renoster Street. From here it runs in a northerly direction and curves around the newly planned township areas of Dennesig North and Dennesig North Ext. 1. until it sways westward to join the R2464 or Keerom Road at a point approximately 364m to the north of the N11 or Groblersdal Road.
