ProposalDescription:

Proposed Main Dwelling/s at 34 Allenby Lane at Remainder of Erf 912, Queensburgh, Durban, Ethekwini, KwaZulu-Natal.

Expanded_Motivation:

Developing this site would prove to uplift the area and will not impact the community or neighboring sites negatively in fact it will increase the sense of community connection and uphold the reasons the Malvern area was created, as the current site is not in a safe and inhabitable state. Development of the site would create a safe space for the families that would be interested in moving to the area. This will promote growth to the community and economy which benefits everyone. Hence the AMAFA application proposing the demolition of the existing dwelling and detached garage which are not in a good shape. The dwelling and garage are abandoned at this stage as they pose as a safety and health risk to occupants as well as a security risk to the area as the building is abandoned and may invite vagrants. Repairing damage or proposing to get the buildings in a good condition would cost far more than erecting new buildings therefore the property owner would like to demolish and construct two dwelling units as well as an ancillary on the site, abiding as per municipal scheme. The erection of the new buildings will not only eliminate the negative security risk but also increase the value of the surrounding homes.
