ProposalDescription:

The intention is to use the lower laying terrain where some infrastructure exists and to build a church and a shrine with associated activities on the land. There is a possibility that the shrine will be located on the south facing slope of the hill covered with dense indigenous vegetation. Access to the site is from the R24 (Rustenburg Road), as well as from Jenning St. in Magaliesburg, which will be upgraded/developed. The Church mainly consists of: Multi-purpose church hall Landscaped gardens to be used for • the Stations of the Cross • Conferencing facilities • Accommodation units related and subordinate to the main use • Reception, offices and dormitories (Existing Camp David) • Ablution facilities • Chapel Archdiocese of Johannesburg has identified a need to establish above facility in Magaliesburg area, as it is a beautiful location offering the natural serenity of the outdoors. The church needs this type of atmosphere in order to conduct their activities. The Magalies River forms the western boundary of the property and it forms part of the Crocodile (West) and Marico quaternary catchment (A21F) area.
