Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Expanded_Motivation: 

Richards Bay Minerals is planning on developing a solar panel farm as an alternative renewable source of energy for on-site consumption in the King Cetshwayo District Municipality Richards Bay, KwaZulu Natal. Depending on the PV panel arrangements selected, the PV arrays could be up to 3m high. The tallest component on the site will be the operations and maintenance buildings as well as any centralized inverter stations, which will have a maximum height of four to five meters. The proposed development site is located on the property of Richards Bay Minerals bordering the eastern site of the RBM main site in Richards Bay, KwaZulu Natal. The proposed development is to be constructed within the property of RBM, Portion 0 of Erf 13130 LOT K45 and Portion 0 of Erf 16317 RBM. This site is suitable for the location of a PV array of up to 22.5MWp.
