ProposalDescription:

PGS Heritage has been appointed by Anglo-American Platinum Mogalakwena, to affect the relocation of graves affected by mining activities within the Anglo-American Platinum Mogalakwena project area. Currently, the focus is on graves affected by the mine developments on the farms Oversyel 815 LR, Zwartfontein 818 LR, and Blinkwater 820 LR, Mohlotlo, Limpopo Province

Expanded_Motivation:

The graves are to be moved to existing formal cemeteries selected by the next-of-kin. We will be assisted on this project by local service providers. The stakeholder engagement process, to identify the closest next of kin for the graves commenced on 23 October 2019. The Traditional Authorities are also consulted in the process. Once the legal notice period has lapsed, we have reached an agreement with the affected families and have obtained all the supporting documents required, we will commence with the permit applications to the relevant departments / compliance agencies. As one of these departments / agencies, please expect a permit application from us over the course of the next few months.
