Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Expanded_Motivation: 

All work to the building has been completed and to be legalized. The Main dwelling has had a few aspects changed, including a visitors lounge, which was a courtyard area. This made the living area bigger, with a verandah leading off the visitors lounge. An Entertainment area with bar was added around the other side of the building to serve the dining room and lounge. Internal Bathroom layout have been altered to have the benefit of a shower/bath in both bathrooms. A second dwelling replaced the existing outbuilding, using the outbuilding walls as internal walls of the dwelling. This was made into a habitable space. The garden shed, now the outbuilding acts as the servants room, a storage space with a carport attached. A utility Store room was built at the bottom of the property close to the pool, to store the pool and garden equipment. The building have been constructed to match that of the existing dwelling, therefore not creating an eye sore and keeping with the existing style.
