Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

Expanded_Motivation: 

The Ugu District Municipality hereby proposes the Margate sewer pipeline replacement, upgrade to the rising main, effluent gravity main and pumpstation that services the community of Margate, located within the Hibiscus Coast Local Municipality. This project forms part of the Municipality’s Integrated Development Programme, and is included in the Water and Sanitation Master Plan. The objective of the project is to replace and upgrade the rising main, to divert the current pumping main away from Lots 250; 267 and 269 and to duplicate the effluent gravity main. The proposed works are categorised into the following phases (refer to layout plan, ANNEXURE A) : •Upgrade to the pumpstation mechanical and electrical works at Pump Station 3A located at Marine Drive (30 51’ 21.32” S, 30 22’ 22.51”E). •Take-over of 1km of the existing 450mm diameter pumping main from Pump Stations 3A to 4A after the construction of the new pumping main as part of the new effluent gravity main. •Construction of 520m of new duplicate 400mm diameter gravity main from the Waste Water Treatment Works outlet to connect with the above new effluent gravity main. •Construction of the balance of the duplication from Marine Drive to Lucien Beach being approximately 1 250m of 400mm diameter pipeline which includes a culvert road crossing and two other pipe bridges.
