Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Following comments received on the proposed Revised Schedule of Fees for applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), made in terms of Section 25(2)(l) of the National Heritage Resources Act No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) and published in the Government Gazette of 22 July 2022, SAHRA hereby publishes the final Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to SAHRA. Applications for provision of services submitted to the South African Heritage Resources Authority (SAHRA), in terms of the National Heritage Resources Act, No. 25 of 1999 (NHRA) must be accompanied by a payment of the appropriate fee, taking effect from 1 January 2023

The City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality has identified a need for the urgent provision of affordable and lower income housing and related community facilities and amenities in the Mabopane / Ga-Rankuwa area. The objective of the application and the project is for the establishment and development of a predominantly residential development on approximately 110 hectares of the total 160 hectare site, to supply residential stands for all the housing categories and typologies in demand in the Mabopane area. The project envisages the provision of a predominantly residential development with associated community and commercial facilities, including all roads and internal and bulk service infrastructure. New schools, a taxi rank, a convenience shop, public open spaces and churches are also proposed on the site. A combination of low-cost (RDP) housing, apartment type buildings as well as affordable bonded housing (similar to Odinburg Gardens suburb) are envisaged on the site. More than 1500 residential stands and flats are proposed. The Mabopane Residential Housing development will be located immediately to the West of the Mabopane Unit V (Botshabelo), west and South of Odinburg Gardens and East of Mabopane Unit T, in the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality within the Gauteng Province, South Africa. The proposed Mabopane Residential Housing Development will be situated on the Remainder of Portion 47 of the Farm Nooitgedacht 256 JR.
