Permits

Conditions:

1. This permit is for the export of OES from Blombos Cavem Klipdrift Shelter and Klipdrift Cave to undertake isotopic analyses (C. N, O) at the Research Laboratory for Archaeology and History of Art at the University of Oxford. 
2. The analyses will be undertaken by Mr Patrick Roberts, a student of Dr Peter Mitchell to whom this permit is issued. 
3. The objects or specimens must be clearly marked with accession numbers.
4. The material must be carefully packed and all packaging must be clearly marked with the accession numbers, the name of the site, and the name and address of the permit holder or of Iziko Museum.
5. The material must be hand carried or sent via a reputable professional courier service unless written instructions to the contrary have been received from the repository, Iziko Museum.
6. The samples must be kept for study purposes only, and may not be sold or exchanged.
7. The material may not be loaned to any person or institution other than Prof. Peter Mitchell without the consent of SAHRA.
8. A report on the activities undertaken in terms of this permit must be lodged with SAHRA before the end of May 2014.
9. Copies of any papers that may result from the export of the material must be lodged with SAHRA. 
10. SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
11. SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit by notice to the permit holder.
