Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred onĀ Monday the 30th of October 2023.

Conditions: 

1. Each artefact or specimen must be clearly marked with the accession number.
2. The material must be carefully packed and all packaging must be clearly marked with the accession numbers, the name of the site, and the name and address of the permit holder or the IZIKO: South African Museum.
3. The samples must be kept for study purposes only, and may not be sold or exchanged. Residues of samples (such as the tablets) must be returned on or before 1 December 2006.
4. Copies of any papers that may result from the export of the material must be lodged with SAHRA. A report must be submitted to SAHRA on or before 1 December 2006.
5. SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
6. SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit by notice to the permit holder.
