About the Survey:

Phil Cohen, Gill Cohen, Nic Wiltshire, Cilla Williams and Vicky Nardell. This was the second visit to Skimmelberg as the first visit took place in September 2012. Unfortunately the heavy rains and snow which fell on Thurs/Friday dissuaded a few members to stay away from the cold which left us with a small group. We weren't able to split up to survey vast areas and it was unclear which areas were surveyed by the previous group at first. Overall it appears we have a good account of the immediate area between Waterval and Zwartberg Fort but there are definitely sites we have missed that will be found in time and with further searching. The obvious sites have been found and the most likely ones for further surveys would be up around Zwartberg Fort site and east of the OLV3&4 sites.

Note mapping of area covered includes 2012 areas.
