Permits

This permit is issued to Dr Statford for the establishment of infrastructure at Jacovec Cavern within Sterkfontein Caves to assist with the excavation of deposit within the "orange" breccia.

Conditions:
1. If Dr Stratford is not to be present on the site at all times then SAHRA must be provided with the names and qualifications of the authorised representatives.
2. The activities will include the erection of a steel platform with a ladder with hand rails welded to the steel platform. 
3. Dr Stratford will photograph the affected area prior to the installation, and again after the installation has been completed.
4. A final report on the results of the installation of site safety measures must be submitted to SAHRA by the end of October 2015.
5. It is the responsibility of the permit holder to ensure that the steel platform be removed at the end of the final field season for which this permit has been applied for. 
6. It is the responsibility of the permit holder to obtain permission from the landowner for each visit. Conditions of access imposed by the landowner must be observed.
7. SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
8. SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit by notice to the permit holder.
