Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation

Conditions: 

This permit is issued to Dr. Justin Bradfield, Research Associate at University of Johannesburg, to sample approximately 1 mg poison from 29 arrows with minimal destruction (using tweezers to remove lose flakes or scraping off using a scalpel) for chemical analysis at the University of Pretoria.

Conditions: 

  1. Sampling must be done with minimal damage to arrows and according to the conditions set by the curating institutions. 
    Where possible, arrows whose poison is already flaking off shall preferably be used.
  2. A report of the results of the analyses must be submitted to SAHRA on or before the end of May 2016.
  3. Reprints of all published papers resulting from this work must be lodged with SAHRA.
  4. SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
  5. SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit by notice to the permit holder.
