Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

FullDescription: 

The original College building (1869) and College House (1892), as well as the portion of the Gill College building complex known as the old Bellevue Seminary, inclusive of five metres of surrounding land, situated as follows:

(a) OLD COLLEGE BUILDING (1869):

The Remainder of certain piece of land (now known as Erf 888, Somerset East), situate in the Village of Somerset East.

Deed of Transfer 2014/1917, dated 28 March 1917 (para. 1).

(b) COLLEGE HOUSE (1829):

Certain piece of land, situate at Somerset East, being a portion of the land granted to the Trustees of Gill College (now known as Erf 853, Somerset East).

Deed of Transfer 13401/1903, dated 13 September 1903.

(c) OLD BELLEVUE SEMINARY:

Certain piece of land, being Erf 87 (now known as Erven 11 and 12), situate in the Village of Somerset East.

Deed of Transfer 626/1897, dated 1 February 1897.

Certain piece of land, being a subdivided portion of the erf or lot of land marked 86 (now known as Erf 13), situate in the Village of Somerset East, and certain piece of land, being a subdivided portion of the erf or lot of land marked 86 (now known as Erf 15), situate as above.

Deed of Transfer 628/1897, dated 1 February 1897 (paras I and II).

Certain piece of land, with the buildings thereon, situate in the Village of Somerset East (now known as Erf 14, Somerset East).
