Changes to SAHRIS!

Description
The historic cavalry barracks and stables. situated on certain piece of land. being Erf 306. Peddie. in the Municipality and Administrative Division of Peddie. Deed of Transfer 27749/1978. dated 27 October 1978.

Historical and architectural interest
This military building complex was erected in about 1840 and until 1862 served as an important centre of. among others. the Cape Mounted Riflemen. Hereafter some of the military buildings were used for many years as the Residency and postmaster's dwelling. 10/2/765.
