For temporary export of the following object: BP/1/7852
The permit is issued to Dr Bernhard Zipfel, Evolutionary Studies Institute (ESI) at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), and Dr Vincent Fernandez, European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), in collaboration with Dr Bruce Rubidge, ESI at Wits, and Dr Michael Day, ESI at Wits, to temporarily export a fossil cranium of Eunotosaurus africanus (BP/1/7852) for scanning at the ESRF in Grenoble, France.
Conditions:
1. Only the selected representative of the material stored in the collection may be exported.
2. The material must be carefully packed and all packaging must be clearly marked with the name of the site (if known), and the name and address of the permit holder or the BPI.
3. The material must be hand-carried by Dr Vincent Fernandez.
4. Dr Vincent Fernandez is responsible for the analysis of the material and its transport to and from the above mentioned institutions/collections.
5. Dr Vincent Fernandez is responsible for the cost of the return of the specimens.
6. The samples must be kept for study purposes only, and may not be sold or exchanged.
7. The material may not be loaned to any person or institution other than the above stated participants in the study, without the consent of SAHRA.
8. No destructive analysis or sampling may be undertaken.
9. A report on the activities undertaken in terms of this permit must be lodged with SAHRA before 31 August 2017.
10. Copies of any papers that may result from the export of the material must be lodged with SAHRA.
11. SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.
12. SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit by notice to the permit holder.
13. The material must be returned by the date the permit expires.
