Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation

St George’s Cathedral displays significance in terms of intrinsic historical, social, environmental, cultural and political value. The space represents resistance to apartheid laws and is associated with the public memory of the struggle for social justice, equality and human rights. In addition, the cathedral itself has architectural significance due to its landmark status and imposing design.
