SiteComments:

The only area of real concern for the power corridors lies in the far north-western area where Alternatives 2 and 3 pass through an area with many small rocky hills. There are numerous archaeological sites associated with these hills. The most important site was located, It was an area on the north side of a small rocky hill that had many large quartz artefacts scatter and much ostrich eggshell fragments on it. In front of the scatter is a bedrock outcrop with at least 15 grinding patches on it. The scatter includes quartz, CCS, ‘other’, ostrich eggshell and a few pieces of bone. It is even possible that a subsurface deposit might be present. A fragment of sponge-printed ceramic was also found.
