Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

SiteComments: 

The site comprises a black cemetery of seven graves. Two of the graves have cement headstones, one has a stone concentration and four of the graves have upright stones. Only one of the cement headstones provided information of the deceased. From the information found on this headstone, it is evident that the graves from this cemetery include the deceased of the Khotso family. This grave dates to 1962. The site appears to have been a farmworker cemetery
