Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

SiteComments: 

Graveyard 05 is located in open veld and holds the remains of approximately twenty individuals. Most of the graves are decorated with cement stones and edged with bricks. Very few of the headstones contain decipherable inscriptions. Inscriptions on some of the headstones which are decipherable read as follow, namely: ‘Makhe Christina Mashaya 1945-04-18 2005-06-08 lala ngoxolo goda’ • ‘Mashaya Elliot Mohlupheki 09-06-1995’ • Richard P Cele.
