Permits

1. Crew members on site during filming will be Dr Tebogo Makhubela, Prof Lee Berger, Mr Dirk van Rooyen and Ms Bonita de Klerk.

2. Monitoring and supervision will be done by the permit holders of the excavation permit (SAHRIS PermitID 3401).

3. Filming will take place at Lefika la Noka site.

4. Only standard filming equipment may be used.

5. Filming will take place for the duration of the excavation permit (SAHRIS PermitID 3401), i.e. until 31/12/2024.

6. The amount of traffic, i.e. numbers of people on site, should be minimised as much as possible to avoid excessive disturbance of the site.

7. Annual reports on activities related to the permit must be submitted to SAHRA on or before the 31 December 2022 and 2023, and a final report on or before 31 December 2024. SAHRA reserves the right to withhold further permits if a report is not received or is not satisfactory.

8. Copies of the filming resulting from this work must be lodged with SAHRA on or before the 31 December 2025.

9. SAHRA acknowledges the submitted landowner permission to film at Lefika la Noka site.

10. SAHRA shall not be liable for any losses, damages or injuries to persons or properties as a result of any activities in connection with this permit.

11. This permit is subject to a general appeal and may be suspended should an appeal against the decisions be received by SAHRA within 14 days from the date of the permit. SAHRA may not be held responsible for any costs or losses incurred in the event of the suspension or retraction of this permit.

12. SAHRA reserves the right to cancel this permit upon notice to the permit holder.
