SiteComments:

The exact size of the shell midden scatter is difficult to establish because of the dense vegetation, but is spread over a large area of approximately 10 x 10 metres. The midden scatter comprised mainly of shellfish remains of Donax serra, Turbo sarmaticus, Oxystele sinenses, Scutellastra cochlear and S. longicosta. Both the nearby sandy beach and rocky coast (a kilometre south), were visited to collect shellfish. Apart from the shell remains no other food remains were observed. The cultural material present, which included quartzite stone tools and pottery, identified the midden scatter as of Khoi origin and date younger than 2 000 years old.
