Hi Nancy
Following is the responses regarding above-mentioned:
- Advertisement was place in the Sunday Times,
- 11 responses was received,
- The salary was omitted from the advertised position, however Ms Siyasanga Tetyana indicated to all the candidates during the interview that the annual basic salary is R204 097.80 plus benefits,
- It is recommended that the candidate be offered the remuneration package which is in line with what the previous incumbent earned.
I hope this will enable you to send this today to the different respective signature authorities for their approval.
Kind regards
Reggy

Done - ongoing population for Unit access.
I'm not sure of the exact findings, but I'm sure someone like Nadia, who was present during the IT Governance Project etc. would be
able to provide you with more details. Perhaps you could ask for the submission which was approved to upgrade the AccPac system, it will probably give more details as to the motivation etc.
Regards
Nancy

Unacceptable. I will chase it up as soon as I can. Thanks
What were the exact findings that justify the purchase of these modules, do you know?
Regards,
Jenty
>>> NANCY CLOETE 2012/11/15 10:50 AM >>>
Dear Jenty,
1. In the beginning of each year, staff are requested to inform IT Unit about requirements for new budget. The Finance unit requested money to be put on budget for the purchasing of additional AccPac modules for 2012/2013 financial year.
2. This identification came as a result of the IT Governance Project, which identified problems and made recommendations. Finance then obtained certain upgrades in 2011/2012 and requested additional modules for 2012/2013.
3. The Executive Committee sat with the budget requests earlier this year, and approved an amount of R130 000 to purchase the identified modules.
4. The purchasing of these modules and expenditure of this approved funding, is on the IT budget, and forms part of the identified outputs for the IT Unit to meet in terms of the Corporate Affairs Strat Plan.
5. There have been major budget related obstacles year e.g. budget was not approved by Council for expenditure on 1 April 2012, and we have only recently (November) been informed that we can now proceed with our approved expenditure. These issues mentioned here have severally impacted on units expenditure and outputs.
6. Failure to spend approved funds will lead to audit findings, as lack of expenditure means lack of meeting objectives.
7. Can you please engage with Acting CFO and Finance Unit on this matter and provide me with direction in terms of the way forward. See emails below indicating attempts to finalise this matter.
Thanking you kindly
Nancy

Dear Peter, 15/11/2012
It has been reported that this machine gives constant problems, as well as the fact that one Tray is broken and a drum recently replaced.
What is the status with this machine? Is it a rental or do we own it? What is the possibility of upgrading/replacing it?
The Archeo unit do high volumes of document scanning and printing and require a high end device.
Your comments are awaited.
Kind Regards
Nancy

Dear Registry Staff,
Please see message below from Phillip in the Archeo unit regarding the Konica Minolta.
Please log an urgent call for assistance, and please provide us with progress via reply to this email.
".... The Konica Minolta B350 gives the following error message:
Malfunction detected, Please call your Technical Representative. The error code (C0202). Tray 1 may be broke. It also keeps getting paper jams and wants to pick up paper from tray 1 and the side tray at the same time.
Regards,
Phillip .... "
Thank you
Nancy
Thank you Phillip for the info. As discussed I will forward this to Registry who are responsible for all the photocopiers and I will request that they keep us informed. In the meantime I'm adding the users to the T/Room copier. I'll confirm as soon as I've done it.
Checked Konica Minolta. Intermittent network functionality - unplugged and re-plugged network point and changed port on new switch.
Phillip was then able to print. A scanned document was sent to Phillip in box - network setup appeared good.
Whilst testing, the the Copier/Printer/Scanner came up with a "call technician" error.
Recommended to Phillip that Auxiliary Services be informed that the machine is faulty.
An interim plan will be put in place to give Archeo staff access to the printer/scanner/copier in T/Room.
NCloete will ask PFarmer to provide details regarding age of this machine and possibility of upgrade/replacement.
Which Printer is it?
1. When IT Technician is appointed, he will replace the faulty PC in the library corner.
2. Then he will install the scanner.
As everyone in the building as access to a pc, the "visitor" pc is not a priority, and due to the increased workload of the IT Officer, the problem will have to stand over for the new IT Technician.
2 x Netgear 5-port gigabit ethernet switches received from F/Tech on 14 November 2012. One for Archeo unit (passage way) and one for Finance Unit to enable additional users to work in 2 point office.
Netgear 5 port gigabit ethernet switch replaced broken netgear switch. Nini now able to log onto network from her workspace.

I am a member of the church management of the Dutch Reformed Church Bethlehem-Wes (Nederduitse Gereformeerde Church Bethlehem – Wes)
Due to external influences it has become necessary for Nederduitse Gereformeerde Church Bethlehem – Wes to combine and become one with Nederduitse Gereformeerde Mother Church and Church Square Bethlehem. The two Churches will go forward under the name of Nederduits Gereformeerde Kerk Bethlehem Wes.
All property is carried over to the one church.
We need to get clarity on the following administrative processes
· Is there any documentation we need to complete or applications we need to do, to keep the old Mother Church A Heritage site.
· Are we correct that the site item 27381 is not a national site but a Free State Provincial Heritage Site (gazette no 15529 dated 1994-03-04
· Is the deceleration only with regard to the outside of the building or does it include the inside?
· The area that has been declared a heritage site is , the church building, the Basutu War Memorial thereon and the adjoining park Area.
· Is the Park Area a separate heritage site? SEE attachment
· Are we allowed to erect a fence between the two heritage site or what procedure should we follow to be able to do it

Hi Nic,
Thank you for collecting and offering to take the equipment through to Nolitha.
As requested, please ensure she signs the document, to confirm receipt of the laptop / charger / bag and 3G.
I hope you will manage to make a more acceptable internet solution available for her, as that 3G option is not going
to work long term.
