Description: The lid mounted with a panel of motherofpearl
and diamond set gold representing a
group of figures before a colonnade on blue enamel ground, the sides and base with similar small
group of motherofpearl
figures, the narrow gold borders engraved with diaperwork and foliage, the
lid with diamond thumbpiece, St petersburg, circa 1760, maker's mark N.H. perhaps for Andreeas
Nilsson Hall working at St Petersburg 174960.
The panels probably imported Berlin work.
