Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Site Comments:
Two-winged stone house with a verandah between the wings. Saddle roof with corrugated asbestos, extending over the verandah. Later additions at the rear. Square plastered pillars to verandah and some original fretwork between them. The one gable has a circular ventilator. Divided casement windows (c. 1915) and an Edwardian front door. The stone street wall has been plastered. This house should be protected under the Town Planning Scheme and listed.
