Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

The proposed development is situated in the vicinity of Polokwane, in the Limpopo province. The study area is approximately 190 hectares and located between central Polokwane and Seshego, with its eastern boundary formed by the Polokwane Dendron road. The study area is located in the Polokwane City Local Municipality, and falls within the Polokwane District in Limpopo province. The local residents indicated the existence of three graves on this site, even though no physical evidence for the site could be observed. Neither formal headstones  nor any grave inscriptions could be observed. 

Directions:
The proposed development is situated in the vicinity of Polokwane, in the Limpopo province. These graves are located within the thick sisal vegetation covering the site.
