Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

The site consists of two stone cairns situated roughly 5m from the proposed tailings pipeline on portions of land between the current mining complex and the proposed tailings dam. The cairns comprise low heaps of small stones and are both approximately 1m wide and 1.5m long. Both cairns are orientated along the east-west axis. While no cultural material or formal headstones are evident, the possibility exists for the two stoner cairns to be graves.
