Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

LSA and MSA exposed on the surface because of the borrow pit. MSA seems fresh, presumably got covered quickly. An erosion gulley reveals artefacts in a layer just beneath the calcrete and very dense scatter within the erosion gulley itself. There used to be a fossil equid tooth here (see Orton 2011) but this has disappeared.
