Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation

History: These two buildings form an integral part of a unique row of semi-detached double-storeyed shops whose façades feature a combination of Free Renaissance, neo-Classical and Georgian styles, blending to form a harmonious architectural feature in High Street, which contains a unique collection of late-nineteenth century residential and commercial buildings.
Visual Description: Mid Victorian palazzo facade. Simple parapet to cornice. Hood moulds to first floor windows. Later shopfronts and verandah of C1950.
