Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

  • A new & modernised look and layout
  • Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
  • Improved site performance and stability

History:
Visual Description: Cape Georgian double storey with flat roof, projecting cornice and decorative parapet. Stepped on sides with string coarse.
Symmetrical three bay facade.
Low plastered stoep (verandah on plastered piers removed after 1980).
Lower windows steel, upper 12x12 double sliding sash.
Later 6-panel door and Gothic Revival fanlight.
Fair condition. Largely original.

Garage and wall attached to right hand side.
Flat roofed with simple cornice and stepped parapet. Street fronting boundary wall with plaster coping.
Timber door but not original (note: original strap hinges).
Good condition. Largely original and important for street continuity.
