Changes to SAHRIS!

The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:

Visual Description: Double-storey, 3 bay Karoo-type house with heavy double-storey verandah. Nos 6 and 8 are abutting. Flat roof with stepped parapet and moulded cornice. Face of building has rough past plaster with smooth raised edge forming pilaster to left. Balcony with straight bullnose roof. Also 2 glazed doors with 2 x 2 pane top hung fanlight to flanking bays. Ground floor - timber double garage door in central bay flanked by 6 x 6 sliding sashes with louvred shutters. Stoep/verandah balcony supported on arched base (wide arch per bay) with straight supported bullnose roof by masonary pillars. Balcony has ballustrade wall. Panel relief on pillars and diamond motif set between ballustrades on first floor balcony structure smooth plastered. Staircase leading to front door (in central bay on 1st floor) situated in left hand half bay and flanked by pier to left. Abutts no. 6 and no. 10.
Colours: Face of house, cream. White balcony and arches. Light green woodwork.
