This farm , originally known as Daljosafat, is the oldest landgrant in the area. It was granted to Peter Beuk in 1692 who
settled on the farm the previous year . In 1778 it was transferred to Andries Bernardus du Toit who was apparently
responsible for the H-shaped house ca 1780. The house had lost its front gable which was replaced by the NMC during the 1985 restoration. One of the outbuildings has holbol end gables. The farm has a strong association with the "Genootskap vir Regte Afrikaners" which was founded in 1875.
