Changes to SAHRIS!
The South African Heritage Resources Information System (SAHRIS) has undergone a generational upgrade and restructure. These changes to the site include, but are not limited to:
- A new & modernised look and layout
- Improved site usage flows with respect to applications and content creation
- Improved site performance and stability
Launch for the new version of SAHRIS occurred on Monday the 30th of October 2023.

This farm was granted to the Huguenot, Pierre Vivier , in 1694 although he settled on the farm in 1690. After many changes of ownership it became the property of Jan Gysbert Hugo in 1804 . The house dated 1826 on its front gable, was apparently built by Hugo . The front and back pedimented gables correspond, whilst the end gables are holbol. The well known Hugo cemetery is situated on the farm. The farm has a strong association with the Genootskap van Regte Afrikaners" which was founded in 1875. The house and outbuildings were restored by the NMC in 1985 .
